Michael E. Migliori, MD

Member, AMPAC Board of Directors

Appointed to the AMPAC Board of Directors in 2008, Michael E Migliori, MD, serves on the Congressional Review Committee and the Political Education Committee. Dr. Migliori is a board-certified ophthalmologist, and has been the Director of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Rhode Island Hospital since 1989.

Dr. Migliori received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. He was a Medicine Categorical Intern and an Ophthalmology Resident at the Sinai Hospital of Detroit in Detroit, Michigan. He also held two Fellowships—at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary and the University of Chicago Hospitals Department of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery—from July 1986 until July 1987. Since July 1995, Dr. Migliori has served as the Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Brown University.

Dr. Migliori has a long record of service to organized medicine. He is currently Chair of the New England Delegation to the AMA, and also serves as the Rhode Island Delegation Chair. He has served on the Board of Directors of the United States Eye Injury Registry, as well as the Medical Director of the Rhode Island Eye Injury Registry. He is also a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the Rhode Island Medical Society.

Dr. Migliori is the Chair of the MD-EyePac (Rhode Island Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons PAC), and also serves on the Board of Directors of RIMPAC (Rhode Island Medical PAC). In 2007 Dr. Migliori received the Achievement Award of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Distinguished Service Award of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Milgiori resides in Providence, Rhode Island.
