Robert Puchalski, MD

Member, AMPAC Board of Directors

Appointed to the AMPAC Board of Directors in 2008, Robert Puchalski, MD, serves on the Congressional Review Committee and the Membership Fundraising Committee. Dr. Puchalski is a board-certified otolaryngologist and sleep medicine physician in Columbia, South Carolina, where he is a founder and managing partner of South Carolina ENT, Allergy and Sleep Medicine. Dr. Puchalski previously served on the AMPAC Board of Directors as a Resident Director from 2000-2002.

Dr. Puchalski was born and raised in Connecticut. He is a cum laude graduate of Cornell University and received his medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis. He completed his residency at the University of Pennsylvania’s Department of Otorhinoloaryngology.

Dr. Puchalski has held a number of leadership positions in organized medicine, including Alternate Delegate to the AMA House of Delegates (HOD), Delegate to the AMA Resident and Fellow Section, and Resident Member of the AMA Council on Legislation. He is currently a Delegate to the AMA HOD from the American Academy of Otolaryngology, and served on the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery Board of Directors in 2000-2001.

Dr. Puchalski also served as a Health Care Reform Analyst in the Office of the Surgeon General in the Summer of 1994.

Dr. Puchalski and his wife reside in Camden, South Carolina, with their three children.
