AMPAC Grads Win Election!!

AMPAC congratulates the following graduates of the Political Education Programs who won General Elections in 2012:

Ami Bera, MD won election to California’s 7th District in the United States House of Representatives.  Dr. Bera, an internist and academic physician, attended the Candidate Workshop in 2011.

Rick Becker, MD won election to one of the two positions from District 7 in the North Dakota House of Representatives. Dr. Becker, a plastic surgeon, attended the Candidate Workshop in 2011.
Steve Bergquist won election to the 11th District (2nd position) of Washington State’s House of Representatives. Steve and his wife Avanti Bergquist, MD (a child psychiatrist) attended the 2012 AMPAC Candidate Workshop.
Steve Dickerson, MD, an anesthesiologist, won the 20th District State Senate Seat in Tennessee. Dr. Dickerson attended the Candidate Workshop in 2007.
Andrew Eisen, MD, a pediatrician, won election to Nevada’s 21st Assembly District.  He attended the Candidate Workshop in 2010 with his wife Diane.
Cary Pigman, MD won election to the 55th District of the Florida House of Representatives.  Dr. Pigman, an emergency physician, attended the Candidate Workshop in 2008 with his wife Darlene.
Charles Schwertner, MD won election to the 5th District of the Texas Senate. He attended the Candidate Workshop in 2009 and is an orthopedic surgeon.
