What is AMPAC?
AMPAC is the bipartisan political action committee of the American Medical Association. Its goal is to support and elect pro-medicine candidates on the federal level.
Who is AMPAC?
Members of the AMA, AMA Alliance, their families and medical society staffs can all support AMPAC. State and county medical society members and their families can also join AMPAC.
What does AMPAC do?
- AMPAC makes direct contributions to candidates seeking election to the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate.
- AMPAC may also conduct independent expenditures,surveys, distribute direct mail or produce media in support of a particular federal candidate.
- AMPAC offers political education programs, such as the AMPAC Campaign Schools , to provide hands-on training to AMA and AMPAC members interested in becoming more involved in the political and legislative process.
