AMPAC hosted its Capitol Club luncheon during the AMA Annual Meeting in Chicago with more than 500 members in attendance. Capitol Club members were treated to a thought-provoking keynote address by renowned American presidential historian and best-selling author Douglas Brinkley. Mr. Brinkley shared his unique insights into America's history through the lens of its presidents, offering a compelling perspective on leadership, legacy, and the evolving political landscape.
A highlight of the luncheon was the presentation of AMPAC's 2025 Award for Political Participation to Dr. Bill Clark of Waycross, Georgia. Dr. Clark was honored for his extraordinary commitment to serving rural communities and his steadfast advocacy for both patients and the medical profession. His blend of clinical excellence and active political involvement has made a lasting impact on health care policy at both the state and national levels. Congratulations to Dr. Clark on this well-deserved recognition!
